Why does Sony and Microsoft make game systems that break down?

If We buy game systems off of the street because they bought them and then the red light death occured, how much money will I have to spend to send the game system back or will they pay for shipping?

XBox Kinect Looks Sweet

At E3 Microsoft unveiled Kinect which basically makes you the controller. This looks sweet, I can’t wait to try it out, at first glance it looks similar to the WII controls without the controller. I’ll be interested to see how well it responds. It comes out this November. Here is Microsoft’s promotional video: Kinect

Microsoft Fires Gaming/Mobile Manager Bach

On May 25 Robbie Bach was let go by Microsoft after 22 years heading up the mobile phone and gaming divisions of Microsoft. This comes on the heals of MSFT getting crushed by the Apple IPhone and Google Android.

This move makes sense to me seeing that Microsoft had mobile operating systems long before Apple and Google, but have not been able to keep up with the technology.

We’ll see what change comes after this shakeup. Maybe there will be a day when Microsoft can initiate the excitement that follows Google and Apple phone releases. I’m always open to new toys so I look forward to it.
