Madden 2010 locking up

My yearly madden cravings crept up on me last week so it was time to put the disk back into my xbox 360 and prepare for madden 2011.
I decided to try something new so I started superstar mode. I found it pretty fun and relaxing. UNTIL…after my second game it locked up after exiting the game. I replayed it and everything worked fine. Then after a couple more games it locked up again. It seems to be every 2 games it locks up and won’t let me save.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea how to fix it?
